Trans-Siberian Journey Planner

The Trans-Siberian routes stretch from European Russia through Siberia, Russia’s Far East, Mongolia and northern China, and if you were to travel on each of the Trans-Russian, Trans-Mongolian and Trans-Manchurian you would cover over 25,000km. The Trans-Siberian is not just a rail journey, it is an experience.

There is no one train called the ‘Trans-Siberian Express’, rather there are many trains that make the journey between the destinations of the Trans-Siberian railway as well as the wider Russian, and international, rail network.

For independent travellers understanding the complex rules, tariffs and discounts of Russian train tickets, and then purchasing them, particularly where more than one journey is involved, can be a bit of a challenge. We have created our Trans-Siberian Journey Planner, and our more general train ticket booking system, in order to remove the challenge and hassle from booking train tickets; creating one less barrier to booking the journey of a lifetime.

To use the planner:

  • Select which route you would like; Trans-Russian, Trans-Mongolian or Trans-Manchurian.
  • Select which city you would like to begin your journey in, and which city you would like to finish in.
  • Select your date of departure.
  • Select your preferred currency.
  • Within the list of destinations, select where, and for how many nights, you would like to stay.
  • Press ‘Search for available trains’ and you will be sent to a train selection screen for your first leg.
  • Select the train, and which carriage class, you would like to use for each leg, before entering all the passenger information.
  • Our travel experts will then do the rest!

If you have any questions, or have any special requirements that you feel are not covered in our booking system, please get in touch directly with our travel specialists.
